About Reed Music

Reed Music is a leading Australian music publishing company with a particular interest in the work of Australian composers. Established in 1995, Reed Music began with a catalogue of 4 works by 2 composers. Reed Music currently publishes over 500 original works, representing over 70 Australian composers. In recent years, Reed Music is proud to have developed agreements with several composers from New Zealand and the USA who continue to bring exciting new works to the catalogue.

Reed Music was established for composers. With the highest royalty rate in the industry and other attractive terms, Reed Music publishes some of best new compositions and educational books being created. Considerable efforts are made to promote the music through collaboration with leading performers, live performances and the continual development of an informative website.

Saxophone

Synonymous with saxophone, Reed Music has played an important role in the development of an Australian repertoire for the instrument. Many of the country's most popular works for saxophone are published by Reed Music and the compositions continue to be played by the worldwide saxophone community. In Australia Reed Music's publications are used for performances by students, undergraduate and graduate level university candidates and active professionals. With the recent addition of an extensive catalogue for younger players, all levels of ability are performing from Reed Music scores.

In 2005 Reed Music began to produce educational books, including the My Favourite Tutor Book series, My Favourite Duets, My Favourite Band and more recently, My Favourite Piano Tutor Books and Band Class 1. These Australian publications provide teachers with excellent material for use in the classroom, lessons and school concerts.
