Number of Entrants
Places are limited and entries are processed on order of entry. Once the allotted number of places is reached, no further entries for that section will be admitted. In the event that there are insufficient entries for a section, Reed Music reserves the right to delete or otherwise alter such sections, including the prizes as specified.
Candidates may enter more than one section, but must perform a different piece of music.
Candidates may enter a section on both clarinet and saxophone - separate entries are required.
Entries
All entries must be made by the closing date - date to be confirmed.
Refunds
Due to the considerable efforts in administering this competition, no refunds are offered in the case of a candidate withdrawing. In the event that Reed Music cancels a section full refunds will be made.
Important
This festival celebrates the work of Australian composers. To support their ongoing creative efforts, original music must be used in this competition. Using copied music is illegal. Composers depend upon the royalties from the sale of their music to continue their creative efforts. Copies are not required for the adjudicator.
Please note: each candidate must have their own original music.
ie. 2 students from one teacher cannot share an original piece of music.
During registration music will be checked and stamped to ensure that the same piece of music is not used again by another candidate. Using copies or sharing of music between candidates will result in the immediate disqualification of the candidate.
Editions
All music listed in the competition is published by Reed Music. No other version or editions may be used.
Age limits
All ages are to be taken from the end date of the competition, to be confirmed.
