Stuart Brownley is a Melbourne-based woodwind performer, teacher and arranger who plays flute, saxophone and clarinet. He is an active musical-theatre woodwind doubler, working on national touring productions, and a long-serving instrumental educator. As a commercial saxophonist he has supported a range of leading artists, and his arrangements for saxophone ensemble — including a setting of the traditional Shepherd’s Hey for SATB saxophone quartet — are held by the National Library of Australia. His work has been programmed by community ensembles including the Manningham Concert Band, and he is listed as a composer/arranger with the Australian Music Centre. His music is published by Reed Music.
