Michel Bert

Michel Bert is an Italo-Chilean classical guitarist and composer, born in Santiago, Chile, where he began his musical training in jazz guitar, flamenco guitar and modal harmony. In 1995 he entered the Music Institute of the Faculty of Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, completing a Bachelor of Music (2003) and the professional title of Guitar Musical Interpreter (2006). He has performed across leading Chilean venues, including the Biblioteca Nacional, the Universidad de Chile and contemporary-music festivals, and won the Ibanez Fancy Music guitar competition in 2006. A prolific composer of solo and chamber works, several published by VP Music Media and Reed Music, he has also recorded extensively, including albums such as La Chitarra Italiana 1900–1941 (2016), Miniaturas Musicales, Piezas Breves and Notas Sentidas, often handling his own recording and production.
