Kent Ross

Kent Ross is an Australian composer, conductor, arranger and music educator based in Victoria. He holds a Bachelor of Music in classical piano and choral conducting from the Australian Catholic University and a Bachelor of Music in composition from Box Hill College of Music, where he later completed a Master of Contemporary Music Practice (Conducting) in 2016 under Graham Abbott. A prolific musical director, he has led more than thirty-five theatre productions and serves as Chief Conductor of both the Casey Philharmonic Orchestra and the University of Melbourne’s Engineering Music Society Orchestra, with multiple Music Theatre Guild of Victoria nominations. As a composer, Ross has written piano works featured on examination syllabuses, including the programmatic suites Treasures in the Attic and Other Worlds, published by Reed Music.
